BEST VEGETARIAN AND VEGANS RESTAURANTS IN DUBAI

Dubai has everything for every kind of person. From the people who love luxury to the people looking for affordable apartments and houses like the latest Port De La Mer apartments for sale are both reasonable and luxury. Just like this, the city has different eateries for people of all kinds including vegan and vegetarian restaurants.

In all the usual price ranges that advertise themselves as vegetarians, Dubai has no shortage of places to eat, but as we will see, a little precaution is required. For different folks, vegetarian means different things. For others, it means they don’t eat meat, but fish is fine. Whereas for others, it means they don’t eat meat and they don’t eat fish, but almost everything else is ready to be tasted.

BEST VEGETARIAN AND VEGANS RESTAURANTS IN DUBAI

Finally, there is a rather strict sub-group of vegetarians known as vegans, who do not consume any kind of animal by-products, i.e. no eggs, butter, cheese, or anything made with any of these or other animal products.

So, the option is clear for vegans: nothing but a verified vegan restaurant will do. But for diners who identify themselves as vegetarians, some would feel comfortable choosing vegetarian options from a menu that includes meat and seafood choices (with all the shades of vegetarianism noted above), While some will believe that vegetarian dishes that could have been cooked in utensils that are still used for meat dishes are not to be consumed.

Here are some choices for our vegetarian and vegans fellows out there in Dubai

SUKH SAGAR

It’s a bit of a Dubai institution on Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Lane, just at the end of the lively and colourful Karama city. Some sections of Dubai have other branches, but this is the main one! The link to the website includes a menu of 7 pages. It’s cheap, it’s cheerful, and it’s vegetarian South Indian food.

MANVAAR

The decor and overall theme of the place is a step up from the previous establishment, but consider paying a little more for South Indian vegetarian food that is broadly identical. Also, be conscious that Manvaar also serves tandoor-cooked meat dishes from North India.

L’AUBERGE IN DEIRA

L’Auberge in Deira City Centre provides very reasonably priced lunches if you are trying a fancy Arabic take on the vegetarian theme in this general price range. It’s not strictly vegetarian, as with Manvaar, but the simple English menu (on the website link) should help to prevent any unpleasant choices. lAnd if you’re not sure, the staff speaks English very well and explains everything very clearly.

THE PARK HYATT’S TRAITEUR RESTAURANT

With its decor and cuisine, it is beautiful and outstanding. Although not a strictly vegetarian restaurant, you will be very satisfied with the quality of the vegetarian choice on the menu and the level of service if you have no objections to eating in locations where meat dishes are often cooked and served.

It’s pricey, but the attention has shifted to high-quality seafood in recent months, so if you’re a vegetarian “no meat, but fish OK,” the countless lobster, oysters and fish dishes cooked to order will not fail to satisfy you.

THE MANGO TREE

The Mango Tree is a perfect place to rest, eat and enjoy the hourly, beautifully choreographed shows of the Dubai Mall Fountain in Dubai Mall’s Souk Al Bahar. The food is Thai, so again, not only a vegetarian-fare-only place but plenty of options on the menu for vegetarians. The Karma Kafe is on the Souk Al Bahar side of the Dubai Fountain, too. Lots of options for fish and vegetarians are served on this Kafe too.

BESTRO

Bestro (Dubai Mall) specialises in organic food and plenty of sugar-free juices. The brunch menu, with healthy pizza bread, zucchini spaghetti, vegetable curry and one or two other choices, is included on the last page of the menu.  They also make kale salad and an excellent pie crust made with cashew nuts. Those allergic to nuts are taken care of.

Since the start of the major expansion over ten years ago, the quantity and quality of restaurants in Dubai have been truly incredible. Vegetarian-fish and non-fish; all that’s there is purely vegan.

So if you are vegetarian or a vegan, don’t worry, Dubai has a lot of options for you to have a nice and pleasant lunch after your busy day. If you are visiting the city then don’t forget to look at the District One Dubai villas for sale.
