Learn How to Install a Full Web Server with WampServer

Whether you need a Server installation (รับติดตั้ง server, which is the term in Thai) on your computer or even a Web development environment for testing, WampServer is the right tool. Follow this tutorial and learn how to install this server on your Windows.

Step 1. Download the WampServer;

Step 2. Go to the folder where the installer was downloaded and double click on it. If you are prompted for the administrator password, enter it or just confirm the authorization;

Step 3. On the first screen of the installer, just click the “Next” button;

Step 4. On the next screen, accept the “Terms of Use” (good to read) and click “Next” again;

Step 5. On the next screen, choose the folder where the software will be installed. Preferably, leave the default address. Click the “Next” button;

Step 6. You can then select or deselect options for creating the program icon. Then, again, click “Next”;

Step 7. Finally, click the “Install” button;

Step 8. Now it is necessary to inform the installer which browser you use. In the window that appears, go to the folder where it stands and click on its executable. Then click the “Open” button.;

Step 9. If a Windows Firewall screen appears, click on the “Allow access” button to authorize the execution of the server services;

Step 10. In this step you must inform the SMTP server (email server) to the installer, however, as it is being installed locally, just click the “Next” button.

Step 11. On this last screen, click the “Finish” button to finish the installation. The WampServer will start and is ready to be used!

Accessing the server options

Right-click the WampServer icon, it is located next to the Windows clock in the “Notification Area”. There are all options for the program server will be displayed.
